China has the largest PCB production base across the globe and the fastest growing output, which is becoming a driving force for the global PCB industry. In 2012, there are 791 PCB enterprises in China whose market size surpasses RMB 25 billion.

With the development of science and technology, all kinds of products needed in the processing of electronic information are gradually being improved. With the newly emerged electronic products continually coming into market, the applications and the market of PCB has been expanded accordingly. The newly-emerged 3G cellphones, automotive electronics, LCD, IPTV, digital television, computer replacement will bring huger PCB market. Currently, PCB applied in the main end-use markets of telecom facilities, consuming electronics, LCD, automotive electronics, computers and the relevant products account for 80% of the total market demand.

According to the planning outline of the Eleventh Five-year plan for the scientific and technological development of IT industry, as well as the long-term planning outline of 2020, PCB will enter the key stage in China’s electronic IT industry in the next 5 to 15 years, especially for multi-layer, flexible, rigid-flexible and environmental-friendly PCB technology.

The PCB industry in mainland China will enjoy a rapid development in the next three years. The domestic 3g industry and electronic terminals, such as, smart phones, tablet personal computer, are enjoying rapid development, coupled the rising of green base stations, which will all serve as powerful driving force for the PCB industry and stimulate the growth of the PCB industry. In 2016, China’s PCB output value amounted to USD$ 4.8 billion, accounting for 49.4% in that of the global one.
